Celebrate 3 days of art, music, spirituality, and culture on the banks of the Holy Ganga at the 2023 edition of the Beatles and Ganga festival 2023 in Rishikesh. Organized by the Pauri District Administration, the event is free to attend and open to all.

By the banks of The Holy Ganga, Beatles & The Ganga Festival is a celebration of the Journey of Beatles in India, the making of an iconic event which will bring together music lovers from India & across the globe to the land of Gods. A lot of bands took inspiration from Beatles and were formed in that time period. This will become a nostalgic reunion of these band members.

Enjoy live music performances by renowned musicians such as Ankit Tiwari, Kabir, Amit Kher and many more talents of India. Participate in Ganga arti, immerse in meditation sessions, dances, and many other art forms throughout the 3 days. Savour local delicacies and shop for indigenous art from all over India.

Why the name Beatles?

The Beatles visited Rishikesh between 1968-1970 to participate in a Transcendental Meditation program by Maharishi Mahesh at an Ashram by the banks of Ganga which is now colloquially called the Beatles Ashram. During this time, they composed a total of 17 songs including the famous White Album. The ashram has a curious spread of over 100 uniquely-designed meditation domes where the students of Maharishi’s would practise TM and includes labeled domes of the Beatles. Today the Ashram is famous for its various wall murals and graffiti art dedicated to the English band and the surrounding Swarg Ashram area feels like a part of their legacy.
